Do you want to learn how to backyard farm?

From September 2023- April 2024, we are opening up our volunteer program to the public for learning and sharing co-farming skills in our Fawkner plots.

Volunteers can join regularly on Wednesday for seedling nursery, harvesting and processing shifts, Friday for farm business administration and planning, and occasional weekends for working bees to learn bed preparation, planting and crop protection.

There is no commitment to join us a farming volunteer and experience is not necessary. We grow for and with our community and we expect all volunteers to respect each others differences, and be accountable to ourselves and each other,. Volunteer shifts range from 2-3 hours.

We are also looking for committed volunteer committee members with skills in business administration, bookkeeping, communications, farming, community building, events and strategic planning. We expect committee members to be available for 4 meetings throughout the year with the option of joining sub-committee meetings for special projects.
